According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of the Snake has officially begun yesterday, predicting ‘all things will be possible’. Wow. 2013 will be a layered year because it’s the Year of… well… a lot. We’ve picked out a few:

2013 is the Netherlands-Russia year, a year in which the 2 countries emphasize their long bilateral relations.
The Netherlands will offer an ambitious programme in Russia with a variety of economic, cultural and social activities
during the second half of 2013.
To underline these bilateral relations: 60 layers of cake is about to roll out a new (fashion) project in Russia.

2013 is also The International Year of the Quinoa (IYQ). Quinoa is the new black in food trends: it’s globally recognized and accepted as high nutritive, becoming a high quality food for health and food security.
60 layers of cake will attend the Biofach in Nürnberg, to check out the Quinoa brands and the latest organic fruits, vegs, drinks and beauty products.

It’s also the year of students. 60’s digital director Nathalie will do her share in “unorthodox” teaching again this year,
at art academies and universities.

And 2013 is The International Year of Statistics. Just for fun, we looked up the Ngram of the word “collaborative communication” – being the core of our approach. Since the early seventies it peaked and peaked, meaning that many books were written about or around that subject. The stats show it’s not a fad, it’s an approach and vision that’s here to stay. Amen.
